At Pearls of Wisdom Early Learning Centre, school readiness is so much more than six months of preparation the year before children start school.

Instead, we take a gradual approach to school readiness that allows children to build their foundational knowledge and skills over time.

Our educators focus on providing children with every day learning opportunities that encourage independence, confidence, literacy and numeracy skills, emotional regulation, social skills, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

By focusing on developing strong academic and wellbeing foundations, we positively shape the way children approach life-long learning.

At Pearls of Wisdom Early Learning Centre, we prioritise and champion diversity and inclusion. As part of our commitment, we proudly partner with KU Inclusion Support and actively seek collaborations with other inclusion support providers and NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) organisations. These partnerships allow us to enhance our inclusive practices further and provide optimal support and care for children with diverse abilities and backgrounds. We believe that by working together, we can create a truly inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

At Pearls of Wisdom Early Learning Centre, sustainability is at the heart of our education and care program. We have implemented a range of initiatives to make learning about sustainability enjoyable and engaging for children. In our Dolphins Room, preschoolers participate in the Eco Warriors Program, where they take turns assuming responsibility for sustainability initiatives, fostering a sense of ownership and empowering them to make a positive impact. Our centre’s sustainability mascot, Gula the Koala, joins all classes, going home with children to explore sustainable practices in their families’ homes. Gula’s experiences are documented in a learning portfolio, inspiring families and the community. Additionally, our vibrant community garden provides hands-on learning, allowing children to plant, nurture, and harvest plants, promoting an understanding of food sources, biodiversity, and sustainable gardening. At Pearls of Wisdom, sustainability is not just a concept but a lived experience, shaping environmentally conscious young learners ready to create a brighter future.
